In-App Messaging

Why Use In-App Messaging

FitSuite includes a built-in messaging system so all client communication lives in one place — right next to their plans, check-ins, and progress data. No more scrolling through WhatsApp threads to find that macro adjustment you sent three weeks ago.

Sending Messages

Open any client’s profile and click the Messages tab, or use the global Messages section in the sidebar. Type your message and hit send. You can also:

  • Share photos and files — attach images, PDFs, or documents directly in the chat
  • Send voice notes — tap and hold the mic icon to record a quick audio message
  • Link to plans — reference a specific workout or nutrition plan so the client can jump to it

Read Receipts

Messages show delivery and read status. A single check mark means delivered; double check marks mean the client has opened the message. This helps you know whether to follow up or wait.

Notification Settings

Clients receive a push notification for every new message by default. You can manage your own notification preferences from Settings > Notifications — choose to get notified instantly, in batches, or only during business hours.

In-App Messaging vs WhatsApp

Keeping communication inside FitSuite has clear advantages over external apps:

  • Context — messages sit alongside the client’s workout data, check-ins, and progress photos
  • Searchable history — find any past conversation instantly
  • Professional boundary — separates coaching from personal chats
  • No phone number sharing — clients connect through the platform, not your personal number

💡 Tip: Pin important messages (like macro targets or schedule changes) so clients can find them quickly without scrolling.
