Built-in Exercises

FitSuite ships with a library of hundreds of pre-loaded exercises covering strength training, bodyweight movements, cardio, stretching, and more. Each exercise includes a description, demo video, and tagged muscle groups so your clients always know what to do.

Searching and Filtering

Open the library from Workout Plans > Exercise Library in the sidebar. Use the search bar to find exercises by name, or filter by:

  • Muscle group — chest, back, legs, shoulders, arms, core
  • Equipment — barbell, dumbbell, cable, machine, bodyweight, bands
  • Category — strength, cardio, mobility, plyometric

Filters stack, so you can narrow down quickly — for example, “bodyweight + legs + strength” to find squats, lunges, and step-ups.

Creating Custom Exercises

Click + New Exercise to add your own. Fill in the exercise name, select the primary and secondary muscle groups, choose the equipment type, and write a brief description of the movement.

Adding Videos and Images

Upload a demo video or image to any custom exercise. Short clips (10-15 seconds) showing proper form work best. Your clients see these directly in the app when they tap on an exercise during a session.

💡 Tip: Record quick demo videos on your phone during your own training sessions. Real coaching clips build trust and feel more personal than generic stock footage.

Muscle Group Tags

Every exercise can be tagged with primary and secondary muscle groups. These tags power the filtering system and also help FitSuite show volume distribution reports per muscle group across a client’s plan.
