Plan Templates
Saving a Plan as a Template
Once you’ve built a workout plan you’re happy with, click the three-dot menu on the plan page and select Save as Template. Give it a clear name and optionally add a description. The template is saved to your library and can be reused for any future client.
Using Templates for New Clients
When creating a new plan or assigning one from a client profile, switch to the Templates tab. Browse or search your saved templates, select one, and FitSuite creates a copy of the full plan — all days, exercises, sets, reps, and notes included. From there, you can tweak anything to fit the individual client before assigning it.
Editing Templates
To update a template, go to Workout Plans > Templates, open the one you want to change, and edit it directly. Changes to a template do not affect plans that were already created from it — those are independent copies.
💡 Tip: Keep a small set of go-to templates for common client types (beginner, intermediate, advanced) and common goals (fat loss, muscle gain, general fitness). You’ll cut plan creation time dramatically.
Organizing Your Templates
Use descriptive names and add tags to keep your template library manageable as it grows. Something like “4x/week Upper-Lower Intermediate” is much easier to find than “Plan v3 final.”
Sharing Templates
If you work with other trainers on your team, templates can be shared across your FitSuite workspace. Any trainer on the team can browse shared templates and use them as a starting point for their own clients.
