Add Exercises

Searching the Exercise Library

Inside any workout day, click + Add Exercise to open the exercise search. Type a name or filter by muscle group to find what you need. FitSuite includes hundreds of built-in exercises with demo videos and muscle group tags.

Setting Sets, Reps, and Rest

After adding an exercise, configure the details for each set:

  • Sets — define how many sets the client should perform
  • Reps — set a target rep count or rep range (e.g., 8-12)
  • Weight — optionally specify a load, percentage of 1RM, or RPE target
  • Rest — set the rest period between sets in seconds

You can also vary parameters across sets. For example, a pyramid scheme where reps decrease and weight increases each set.

Adding Notes and Cues

Use the Notes field on any exercise to leave coaching instructions your client will see in the app. Things like tempo prescriptions (“3-1-2-0”), form reminders (“keep elbows tucked”), or substitution options work well here.

Reordering Exercises

Drag and drop exercises to change the order within a session. The order you set is exactly what your client sees in the app.

Creating Supersets

To group exercises as a superset or circuit, select multiple exercises and click Group. Grouped exercises display together with shared rest periods, so your client knows to perform them back to back.

💡 Tip: Use supersets to keep session duration efficient — pairing opposing muscle groups (like biceps and triceps) is a classic approach that clients appreciate.
