Recipe Books

Overview

Recipe Books let you build collections of recipes that clients can browse, cook from, and log directly into their meal tracker. They are a great way to provide meal inspiration while keeping nutrition on track.

Creating a Recipe

Navigate to Nutrition > Recipes and click New Recipe. Enter a name, add an optional photo, and set the number of servings. Then build the recipe step by step:

  1. Add ingredients — search the food database or enter custom items with their quantities
  2. Write instructions — add preparation steps so clients can follow along
  3. Review macros — FitSuite calculates the total and per-serving macros automatically based on the ingredients

You can also tag recipes with labels like High Protein, Quick Meal, or Meal Prep Friendly to make them easy to filter.

Organizing Recipes into Books

Go to Nutrition > Recipe Books and create a new book — for example, “High-Protein Dinners” or “Vegan Meal Prep.” Add existing recipes to any book by selecting them from your recipe library. A single recipe can belong to multiple books.

Reorder recipes within a book by dragging them into your preferred sequence.

Sharing with Clients

Open a Recipe Book and click Share. Select one or more clients, and the book appears in their app under the Nutrition section. Clients can browse recipes, view macros, and log a serving directly to their daily meal log with one tap.

When you update a recipe or add new ones to a shared book, clients see the changes automatically.

💡 Tip: Create a “Starter Recipes” book with 10–15 simple meals and share it during onboarding — it gives new clients an easy win on day one.
