Set Macros & Targets

Overview

Every client has different nutritional needs. FitSuite lets you set precise macro and calorie targets per client, with the option to vary them between training days and rest days.

Setting Calorie Goals

Go to Clients > [Name] > Nutrition > Targets. Enter the client’s daily calorie goal. FitSuite uses this as the baseline for all compliance tracking and dashboard visuals.

You can set a single goal or define separate values for training days and rest days — useful for clients following carb-cycling or calorie-periodization protocols.

Configuring Macro Targets

Below the calorie field, set individual gram targets for:

  • Protein — typically 1.6–2.2 g per kg of body weight
  • Carbohydrates — adjust based on activity level and goals
  • Fat — fill remaining calories after protein and carbs are set

As you enter values, FitSuite shows the calorie equivalent and percentage split in real time so you can verify everything adds up correctly.

Training vs. Rest Day Targets

Toggle Day-specific targets to define two separate macro profiles. Assign which days of the week are training days, and FitSuite will automatically apply the correct targets when tracking compliance.

This is especially helpful for clients in recomposition or performance-focused phases where nutrient timing matters.

Updating Targets Over Time

When a client’s goals change — moving from a cut to maintenance, for example — simply update the target values. FitSuite keeps a history of previous targets so you can review what was set during any past period.

💡 Tip: Use the built-in macro calculator under Tools > Macro Calculator to estimate starting targets based on your client’s weight, activity level, and goal.
